CT Buzz Shines a Light on the Parents’ Foundation’s Transformative Work

We are grateful to CT Buzz and host Natasha Lubczenko for highlighting the heart of our mission: To provide individuals with serious mental illness a supportive living environment where they can live and grow.

This week, we had the privilege of joining CT Buzz to share more about the life-changing work happening every day at the Parents’ Foundation for Transitional Living. Host Natasha Lubczenko welcomed our Executive Director, Tahnesha Bonner, and our Director of Admissions & Outreach, Kyleigh Marrero, for a meaningful conversation about what makes our community so unique.

At the Parents’ Foundation, we provide a warm, non-clinical, family-like home for individuals seeking stability on their mental health journey. Located in the heart of New Haven, our environment offers structure, encouragement, and the safety needed for residents to continue growing toward independence.

During the segment, Tahnesha and Kyleigh shared how our approach goes beyond housing—it’s about building connection, nurturing confidence, and offering a consistent support system. This becomes especially important during the holiday season, when feelings of isolation can deepen. At PFTL, residents experience a sense of belonging, community traditions, and an extended family that celebrates with them.

We are thankful for the opportunity to spotlight the work we do and the incredible individuals who call our community home. Their resilience and achievements inspire us every day.
