In May 2022, the Parents’ Foundation community was forever changed by the tragic loss of Shauna.

Shauna Devlin

Shauna was a passionate advocate for the arts, music, and theater. She made it her mission to ensure that residents at Parents' Foundation had every opportunity to experience the beauty that art brings to life. She brought a Yale quartet to perform during the holidays, launched and led our beloved acting group, guided residents on museum trips across the state, and organized outings to the symphony and plays at the Shubert Theater.

Shauna's love, passion, and dedication to Parents' Foundation for Transitional Living will never be forgotten. Her legacy lives on through the Shauna Devlin Arts in Action Memorial Fund, which sponsors art programming for residents, funds cultural event attendance, and helped establish our in-house art center—one of Shauna’s lasting contributions. Her spirit also continues through our annual Arts in Action Memorial Art Show.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Shauna found a creative way to bring joy to our residents by hosting an in-house art show. She provided appetizers, played the piano, and made sure the event was a truly special experience during an uncertain time. Her thoughtfulness and dedication will always be remembered.

In 2023, we were proud to take this tradition beyond our walls by hosting the first Arts in Action Memorial Art Show in the broader community, bringing together local programs to celebrate the powerful connection between art and mental health. It is an honor to carry forward Shauna’s legacy and continue sharing her passion for the arts with our residents and beyond.

We look forward to our 2025 show, November 21st- December 3rd.
